Property owners that have experienced damage due to the recent flooding, please contact the Lowndes County Board of Assessors. Appraisers will be available to do onsite inspection and interior inspections upon owner’s request. Current condition will be documented, and will prove helpful in future valuation; however, the condition of the property as of January 1, 2009 will be used in the determination of Fair Market Value for the 2009 tax year in accordance with Georgia Code 48-5-10. All reasonable, confirmable repair estimates are also welcome information; though, the estimates may not have an impact on future values.
