The goal of the Henry County Assessors Office is to provide the people of Henry County with a web site that is easy to use. You can search our site for a wealth of information on any property in Henry County.

Please note that the Assessors Office establishes values only. The Henry County Tax Commissioner should be contacted with tax bill related questions.

Notice to Property Owners and Occupants

Georgia Law (OCGA 48-5-264.1) requires property owners and occupants be provided reasonable notice prior to a site visit conducted by or on behalf of the Henry County Tax Assessors Office.

In accordance with this law, please be advised that if you ask for a review of your property value an appraiser may come to your property for a site visit. The purpose of this visit is to update the information on the property record card which will enable our office to more accurately determine fair market value and/or make other determinations as required by law.

The appraiser/data collector will have a photo identification badge and will be driving an appropriately marked vehicle. If there is any question about the identity of the appraiser/data collector, do not hesitate to contact our office.

The appraiser/data collector does not set values and will only gather necessary property information including exterior measurements, various coding, exterior photos, etc. Collecting this information does not require access to the interior of the home or business. Interior inspections, however, may be done at the request of a property owner or occupant. In the case of residential property visits, if an adult is home, the appraiser/data collector will want to ask some questions in an attempt to make sure our records are as accurate as possible. Answering these questions is purely voluntary. If the owner/occupant is not at the property at the time of the visit, a door hanger will be left indicating the visit.
