Meet the Honorable Scott P. Russell, CFA, RES, AAS, PPS, CCF

Scott Russell is a 4th generation Florida Keys native, born and raised in Key West, Florida.  He started his career at the Monroe County Property Appraiser’s Office  2008 as a field appraiser and quickly worked his way up to Chief Deputy of Appraisals for the entire county.

In 2012, he was sworn in as the Property Appraiser.  Scott has worked vigorously to bring new technology to the appraiser’s office with valuation tools to aid in more accurate assessments, high-level aerial imagery and the embarkation of a new Computer Aided Mass Appraisal System (CAMA).

Scott is the current President of the Property Appraisers Association of Florida (PAAF), representing property appraisers state-wide. Scott and his wife Dianne (of 30 years) volunteer at Special Olympics events and cheer on their daughter Amber, a Special Olympics athlete.
