On November 6, 2018, residents will be voting on an addition to Amendment 1 which will provide for an additional $25,000 homestead. This will be a 3rd Homestead Exemption granted if passed. Click on the estimator to find out if you will receive the exemption benefit.

HURRICANE TAX ABATEMENT - DEADLINE MARCH 1, 2019

If you suffered damage to your homesteaded property due to Hurricane Irma that rendered it uninhabitable for at least 30 days, you may be eligible for a tax abatement towards your 2019 taxes.

NOTICE OF RECERTIFICATION

Pursuant to Section 193.122(3) Florida Statutes, Scott P. Russell, Property Appraiser of Monroe County, hereby gives notice that the 2017 Real Property and Tangible Personal Property Assessment Rolls for Monroe County were recertified to the Tax Collector on the 10th day of July, 2018 for the collection of taxes.
